Location Massage
While treatments are available in your Christchurch home or hotel, we also do
onsite massage for offices, movie sets and seminars throughout Canterbury.
Is on site massage is a treatment that employers provide for
their staff. This new industry is so popular, the massage
industry now provides training to help meet the demand.
A 15 minute back and shoulder rub
improves relaxation and attentiveness. Where staff are working long hard
hours a 10 - 20 minute massage will relieve the affects of physical
strain enabling improved performance.
For the employer it is a generous gesture, it
improves staff moral, loyalty and productivity. For workers it is
a relaxing treat and often a health check addressing issues like headaches, RSI, back and neck pain.
Options:
Chair massage is the most popular location massage
option. The masseuse or
masseur arrives with a massage chair which can be setup most anywhere in
1-2 minutes. The best place is a warm (15-20°) comfortable 3x3 metre room.
The
recipient sits facing into the supportive chair and is treated to a
back, neck and shoulders massage. As the recipient remains clothed, it
can be done in any workspace.
Table massage allows for more detailed and longer
treatment, it also requires more space, a 4x5metre room 18 - 25°
with a hand wash facility.
Recipients generally remove their shirts/tops, lay face down. The back,
neck and shoulders are massaged using an oil. This identifies and relieves
muscular stresses.
In addition to a portable massage
table, the therapist will bring all the necessary equipment and may
require 5 minutes to setup and pack up on completion.
