time, and no boss telling you what to do, then becoming your own boss and developing your own home based massage business
is a great solution to provide an income and contribute to your community.
If you like people and the human body, have hands on massage skills and are able
to manage your own finances, this could be the career for you. 'Have hands - can
travel', massage is a very transportable skill where a competent therapist can
find work in most towns and countries.
A career as a massage therapist is very rewarding with many options of being
employment in medical centres, private clinics and on cruise liners, but you may
only earn $14 - $16 per hour.
Massage fees range from $30.00 - $130.00 per hour and
3 or 4 clients per day is a good income
How to setup your home massage business
- Complete our introductory and intermediate courses and pass a 90 minute (oral and practical)
exam and you are ready to start work.

Learning options
- Christchurch residents
Learn at your leisure with weekly 90 minute lessons
- Visit Christchurch
If you live outside of Christchurch, the introductory course can be done
by correspondence and you will need 3 - 5 days intensive training
to complete the intermediate stage. While it is preferred that you take your final exam
in Christchurch, in can be done via skype over the internet.

$1150.00 including the introductory and
intermediate courses. Text books, travel and accommodation are not included.
