Massage School > Terms and Conditions
 The
Quiet Mind Body Shop is a private multicultural training institution accepting students
irregardless of ethnicity or religion.
We hold that the human body is sacred in its entirety and endevour by teaching
holistic bodywork (massage) techniques, to enable students to become confident,
competent, knowledgeable and responsible practitioners.
Massage school
- Course fees are payable in advance
- A students place in a class is only confirmed when their deposit or full payment has been received.
- Students may substitute another person to take their place conditional that this occurs before
commencement of the first class and that QMBS has been notified and approves the change.
The original student and the replacement student must take care of finance.
- Course fees are fully refunded if the class is cancelled by QMBS for any reason.
- Course fees are refundable when the student cancels:
- More than 10 days before course commencement = a full refund less a $20.00 administration fee.
- Less than 10 days before course commencement a refund will only be given if a substitute person is found to take that place less a $20.00 administration fee.
- Once the course has commenced refunds are given only if the class is
cancelled by QMBS or its Staff and then the remaining balance of the course fee will be refunded.
- Students are expected to be punctual, to arrive in class clean and well presented, i.e.
freshly showered and ready to learn.
- For introductory level students, chest/breast massage is optional and not a
requirement for certification.
- For introductory level students,
certification will specify the number of hours in training
- A minimum of 1/2 the course must be completed for certification.
- Students who miss a public class may cover the lesson subject with personal
training, however a $25.00 fee applies.
- Intermediate and advanced
students must complete the full body course curriculum for certification.
- Intermediate certificates are awarded on the satisfactory course completion and passing
an exam.
- Students under 18 must have parental permission
- Students must be physically fit and able to perform and receive massage therapy.
- Training schedule changes may be possible at the discretion and other
students.
- Smoking or drugs are not permitted
- Private certificate courses must be completed in due time for certification.
- Introductory course must be completed within 30 days.
- My home business must be
completed within 30 days.
- Intermediate and advanced courses must be completed within three months from start to final exam.
- Students who fail to complete the courses in due time may be charged
additional fees to gain certification as we often find students taking excess
time need to repeat lessons previously covered..
- The Quiet Mind Body Shop reserves the rights to alter class schedules to suit class circumstances.
Massage Models Terms
Students
are in training in order to become competent bodywork/massage
therapists and as such they need models who are willing to lend their
bodies for them to undertake lessons. Typically in class, the teacher
demonstrates the techniques on the model and then the student practices
those techniques on the model who generally gets a balanced relaxing
massage. Occasionally models may be required for students to practice on
between lessons.

- When
a model(s) is/are required by the school, an email is sent to all
registered models in the category that a model is required for.
- When a model(s) is/are
required by a trainee, an email is sent to all registered models in the
category that a model is required for.
- When a model(s) is/are required by a trainee, an invitation is sent to the
model by the trainee - by phone or email.
- When a model(s) is/are required by the school, the
email will contain the address of a web page that must be viewed by the
model before replying as it contains a description of the massage and
the student
Only the model(s) accepted will receive a reply - - so if you
reply to an email invitation and apply for a massage position, and then
you do not hear back, you know you have not been selected.
Generally the model(s) is/are selected on the basis of who replies soonest though we do try to share these positions. - Sometimes
names are put in a draw, other times models may be selected for body
type so that students experience a variety of gender and body types..
Models should come freshly showered and be punctual.If unable to attend, you will advise us by phone at your earliest convenience.Models who fail to arrive for an appointment may be deleted from our invite list.Models
may not substitute another person to take their place unless that
person is registered and that QMBS has been notified and approves the
change.Persons Modeling outside the school with students or trainees do
so entirely at their own discretion and risk. The school has no authority or
responsibility in this matter. By volunteering as a model, you are giving the
teacher and student/s permission to demonstrate and practice a variety
of massage and holistic bodywork techniques on your body.All
treatments described as 'full body' include the chest/breasts so if you
are shy or self conscious about your body front do not apply for these
treatments.- Some treatments are part body as specified and your sensitive areas are kept covered.
- The
hip area is included in most treatments and boxer shorts make this
difficult, so if your shy about your derričre, please wear your smallest
knickers.
For yours and our health and safety, you
must advise of any health problems or concerns before the treatment
commences and if any concern/problem or anything your not comfortable
with during the treatment, you must speak up and inform the teacher.There is no payment to, or fee charged to models
by the school.Should
a class be cancelled, we will endeavor to advise the model by email if
the cancellation is the day before, or by phone/txt when the appointment
is the same day if your contact number is on file.By accepting any offer you acknowledge that you unconditionally accept these terms. Registration Photo Models Terms
This
means models volunteering to model for the creation of still photos and
educational videos primarily for use in our members area which is only
accessible by registered students and generally any photos and videos
are non identifiable except to anyone who knows you that well. - By
applying for any photo model offer you acknowledge that you accept the
general models terms as specified in points 1 - 7 above.
- Unless
you are informed and give permission, photos and videos are not made
public, they will only be seen by registered students of The Quiet Mind
Body Shop.
- For any images to be made public, the model will be
asked to sign a declaration that they are agreeing to their images being
made public and the context will be contained in the declaration.
- Once photos or videos has been taken, the photos and videos are copyright and the property of QMBS.
- By accepting any offer you acknowledge that you unconditionally accept these terms.
