Why Yoga
Q says: why yoga?
A says: it creates peace
Q says: out of what?
A says: the exercises of yoga bring peace to the heart and mind, and when
the individual is peaceful, the community becomes more peaceful
Q says: isn't peace something that you have or not have? I can't imagine this
kind of peace that comes through exercise
A says: after physical exercise, the body is more relaxed and the mind at
ease. With meditation the mind becomes clear
Q says: do you like what you do?
A says: Very much. The philosophy of yoga serves as a guide to find one's
place in the world.
Q says: could you also find my place in the world?
A says: What is your life dream? the thing you want most from life
Q says: it's been so long i have not thought of it. A place in the world, if
it's my place for sure you can see many many stars on the night sky and someone
to love and grow old with
A says: ahh sounds like you are looking for love.
Q says: no
Q says: this world has none for me
A says: what do you seek?
Q says: no point in looking or waiting or even dreaming
A says: Dreams are good and help to move in life, but by keeping the heart
and mind open anything is possible
Q says: unfortunately pain is more possible than anything else
A says: most of the news we hear about Romania is bad news, I hope there is
some good there too
A says: what is the pain in your life?
Q says: i would rather not talk about it
A says: ok,
A says: my pains are the dishonesty and corruption in society and government
Q says: if you could change the world where would you start?
A says: to make create change, make peace in our own heart and mind,
recognize the world around us is not perfect, when you have peace in your own
heart, you can share it with others and it will spread.
Q says: do you have to share? do you have peace to share?
A says: it is boring not to unless one remains a hermit, and I am sharing
with you now
Q says: I wish it were that easy
A says: At times my life has felt as a prison, but I have managed to change
A says: Mostly I have changed through yoga and meditation and finding like
minded friends
Q says: people do not stay in my life...the more I get attached the quicker
they leave me for a reason or another
A says: often our greatest mistake is to try and hold on. We need to be free
and to feel that we are free.
Q says: the things sort of repeat themselves again and again, different
people, different places, but the things are the same, even the words
used...always the same...it is boring and exhausting...so sad...
A says: A part of yoga is the examination of one's life,
A says: in examining life one make changes, some times changes are good,
other times when one feels right, I may be others tat need to change
Q says: why do I always meet the people who need to change?
A says: There must be many of them about..
A says: but none of us are perfect, we all need to grow, to learn what it is
to be human
Q says: it is like meeting people in transition between changes...at times I supposingly am a catalyst
A says: with the struggle for power in society, people forget how to be
human
Q says: yet everyone changes and moves away...like i am not a person, but a
sign post
A says: being a catalyst is good if you can remain unaffected
Q says: maybe if I would accept my place in the world as a sign post i would
not be so sad and disappointed...
A says: it is an ideal of yoga to walk in the world and embrace all that
life offers, but to be unaffected even to the point of death
Q says: it is sad not to feel life, to be unaffected
A says: everyone needs help and direction - if you can provide that, then
good.
A says: I did not say, not to feel, that is to be disconnected
A says: our hearts are strong and can overcome any pain if we believe in
ourselves
A says: the key is unconditional love
Q says: unconditional love of what?
Q says: nobody wants love nowadays
Q says: especially the unconditional kind...that is the kind of love that
gets people bored and makes them leave
A says: yes I know many value money, power and possessions over love, but
these things are really just an illusion and will not last.
Q says: and when you do not have any other kind to give than you are doomed
to be forever left behind
A says: if you are left behind in the race to destruction, them this is a
good thing..
Q says: it might be good but is sad and lonely too
Q says: not if you are self-content
Q says: if you have peace
A says: I spent a few years alone, not physically, I had family and friends,
and I learned to be alone without being lonley
Q says: i am not sure we have the same definition of peace...but it might be
A says: for me peace is an acceptance, a feeling like I am at home inside
myself. I have a sense of contentment, but I still have desire and passion
Q says: in Romanian culture there is a kind of peace that one has when in the
presence of God...is very hard to achieve but you can feel someone who has it
from across the ocean, from one look...it's a kind of smile, a kind of superior
state of mind and spirit
A says: my study and teaching yoga gives me a sense of purpose, usefulness
to the world. But I feel I am a part of the world, but also have a sense of
detachment.
A says: what you describe sounds good, can you cultivate that spirit in you?
Q says: you see talking to you reminded me that i once wanted to cultivate
that
Q says: that that is something essential missing in my life
A says: maybe in your study of cosmology, you can also read inspirational
books and give thought to your spirit?
A says: it is never to late to resume
Q says: I hope not...I have wasted so much of myself...although on the other
hand might be just steps in learning
A says: I think self study - cultivating the spirit within is a life time
task
Q says: it was a great pleasure talking to you
A says: ok I hope things work out for you and your welcome to chat again,
best wishes and take care.. | |
